OK so let me start by flagging that this review will contain spoilers OK?Good let me begin.Last of the trilogy and wow what a way to go out, it takes a brave author to throw his hero into situation after situation, create a potential new love and therfore new future for him and the kill him off at the hands of his oldest enemy. Thats what happens though and the book is all the better for it.Once again the story moves at good pace, theres an entire new army to play with and the concept of a dying goddess who quite frankly has gotten so sick of this part of the world that she has decided to detroy it.

As you go through this book the future just looks bleaker and bleaker for the characters. There is some upside people get reunited and largely the war is over. Retribution is taken and I like the fact that this is quite ambivelent youre not sure if the characters feel remorse, pity or quite franjly are just struggling to cope with everything but in the end retribution is not the thing that closes the story. The escape and how that plays out is great, really well worked idea and it still sees quite a lot of people not quite make it in the end.All in all I speed through these, enjoyed them immensely and I like forward to reading more of Tims work soon.
